John Maley started serving at FBC in February 2014.


John graduated from Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary in 2009 with a Master of Divinity. He received his undergraduate degree in Christian Studies from Mississippi College. He complete his DMin degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. John was born and raised in Memphis, TN. He and his wife, Jennifer, have a twelve year old daughter, Addison. John is an avid fan of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Dallas Cowboys, and professional wrestling. He enjoys reading, relaxing, serving others, and spending time with his family. 



Josh Odom

Next generation pastor

Josh began his ministry at FBC Trumann in June 2020. Previous to coming to First Baptist he spent 3 years living abroad as a teacher in Asuncion, Paraguay at a Christian school teaching various subjects. He is originally from Alabama and graduated from Troy University in 2015. Josh is married to Courtney and they have 3 girls: Kimberly, Makinley, and Hollie. You can catch Josh snagging fish at local lakes, playing disc golf at local parks, and rewatching his favorite movies like Lord of the Rings or cheering on his beloved Troy Trojans, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves.

COURTNEY ODOM

INERIM Worship leader

Courtney recently began serving as the interim-Worship director here at First Baptist Church. She moved here with Josh back in 2020 where she also served in Asuncion, Paraguay for 8 years in various ministries. Courtney was born and raised in South Florida but played volleyball collegiately at Mississippi College where she got a degree in Education and a minor in Spanish. Prior to joining the staff as the interim-Worship director Courtney worked at the local Christian school in different roles in 2021-2024 and continues to coach the Ridgefield Warriors Volleyball teams as well as runs her own local club Ignite. She loves to sing and play guitar, spend time with her family, and go through the drive thru at local Shadrach's around Jonesboro.
